Pier Residence presents a timeless interior design in the vibrant heart of Berlin, inspired by the Bauhaus movement. We have sought to emphasize the harmonious blend of location, functionality, and unique design in the riverside development show flat. Our vision encapsulates the essence of the surrounding urban landscape, paying homage to the architectural marvels, the iconic East Side Gallery, and most significantly, the River Spree. The brief of the project was to create a unique design for a two-bedroom apartment in a true landmark development.
Design Concept and Inspiration - Embracing Bauhaus Interior Design
Drawing inspiration from the exterior elements and the Bauhaus design philosophy, our design concept seamlessly translates these influences into the interior spaces. We strive to create high end interior design that transcends time, embracing impeccable quality and artistic uniqueness. This modern interior has clean lines and natural, high-quality materials. The wide hardwood flooring boards exude a weathered appearance, as if kissed by the sun and caressed by the nearby river. The textured metal wall décor echoes the patterns found in the surrounding urban architecture. However, the most distinctive characteristic of our interior design concept lies in its ability to capture the essence of the nearby river by showcasing kinetic movement within the space. Curated art pieces embody this concept, such as the light sculpture projecting upward fluctuating flares of light, reminiscent of the mesmerizing interplay between light and water. Another marvel of the living area is the outstanding art piece by one of the most influential contemporary sculptors of our time – Tony Cragg. It embodies a frozen moment of movement and stands out beautifully on the backdrop of the riverscape, harmonizing with the principles that define Bauhaus design.
An Expansive Open-Plan Living Space Reflecting Artistic Beauty and Innovation
Upon entering, a bright and welcoming entrance hall envelops visitors in its warm embrace. Light wood panelling and mirror panels adorn the walls, creating an illusion of space and enhancing the overall brightness. An innovative modern wardrobe with an integrated bench separates the entryway from the expansive open-plan living area. This multi-functional open living space design seamlessly integrates cooking, dining, lounging, and entertainment. The kitchen design harmoniously blends with the rest of the living area, featuring an innovative bronze colour façade finish that exudes luxury and elegance. The kitchen island serves as a focal point, reminiscent of a precious jewellery box, with an open and illuminated corner housing an integrated bar module. Adjacent to the kitchen area, a captivating 6-seater dining table awaits unforgettable meals and moments of artistic inspiration. One wall captivates with the BE WATER lamp by WAW Collection, creating a kinetic performance of light, while the opposite wall proudly displays a painting specially created by Karina Abike, the creative director of Neoklasika. Titled "BLUE," the abstract depiction of the reflections of the Museum Island in the River Spree establishes a remarkable contextual link between the site and the design.
Unveiling Refined Luxury and Contemporary Grace in Two Expansive Bedrooms
Spanning across 120 square meters, the apartment encompasses two bedrooms, each offering stunning views through full-height windows. The master bedroom serves as a cosy cocoon for relaxation, with walls entirely adorned with textile and leather panelling. This material concept extends to leather blinds, offering maximum privacy and control over daylight. The master suite is further enhanced by an adjoining walk-in closet and a luxurious bathroom. The dressing area stands out with its illuminated transparent wardrobe, elegantly showcasing garments and accessories.
The guest bedroom showcases a harmonious blend of softness and urban textures. Silk curtains and wall panels by Loro Piana Interiors exude a sense of elegance, while the delicate concrete textured walls and ceiling introduce a contemporary urban element. Saddle leather, wool, solid wood, bronze, and marble harmoniously come together, creating an atmosphere of refined luxury.

Throughout the design process, we have left no detail overlooked, ensuring a truly personalized design experience that fosters a sense of discovery and connection. The Pier Residence, meticulously crafted by Neoklasika, serves as an exquisite home away from home, offering luxurious comfort, impeccable balance, and inspiring surroundings that encourage further achievements.
