Neoklasika’s team of designers has designed a 218 m2 holiday apartment in the popular Baltic resort town of Jurmala. This penthouse has a large open plan living area, four bedrooms and a spacious open terrace. The interior has been designed in loft style, which became popular in the middle of the 20th century in the United States of America. The defining characteristic of this style is the synthesis of ultramodern materials with a combination of walls with brick and rough plastering. Thus, in this style the “new” and the “old” harmoniously blend and complement one another.
The apartment wall finishes are lined with rough bricks in contrast to the murals inspired by custom made designs. The floors of the living space are covered by ceramic tile with wood texture instead of the usual hardwood flooring. Delicate Oriental style tiles have been chosen for the bathroom floor. The interior is dominated by rich and expressive colors. The texture of the materials used gives the apartment a comfortable and cosy feel, while their diversity reminds one of the synthesis of various styles and materials.
The furniture and lighting used in the interior are selected from a range the best manufacturers in Europe and globally. The furniture and lighting design is also defined by contrasts: airy lightness is offset by coarseness and weight. All elements are unique and exclusively designed for this apartment.
