This residential house – villa – is located in a place that successfully combines all you need for contemporary life – “Mežaparka Rezidences” – uniquely designed villas, two family villas, terraced houses and apartments. Contemporary architecture in a prestigious green and landscaped environment.
The “Mežaparka Rezidences” concept was designed by Andris Kronbergs, who has done an outstanding job in combining Mežaparks’ existing building style with contemporary design and comfort. Each building project here has been created by award-winning Latvian architect including the Neoklasika team.
For decades, the quiet and elegant suburb of Mežaparks has been considered to be the most prestigious residential district in Riga. Mežaparks and the Ķeizarmežs territory were established at the start of the 20th century, when Central Riga was already densely occupied with buildings. Thus, construction in Mežaparks began to take shape, surrounded by pine trees and near a lake, retaining this location’s natural environment and relief. Today, Mežaparks is still one of Riga’s most exclusive residential areas, offering a unique combination of nature and the urban environment. The plot of land on which the classically styled villa is built on a mound in the northern part of the hillocks.
The villa occupies a total area of about 500 m2. The first floor is home to residential and leisure premises with a winter garden, whose large glazed window open up onto a perfectly landscaped garden. A separate floor contains ancillary premises, a garage and swimming pool. The second floor contains bedroom with dressers and plumbing, an office, hall, balcony and ancillary room. The building’s visual image stems from a contemporary interpretation of historical styles, with a composition of volumes, details and finishing materials characteristic of modern architecture, as well as a reference to Mežaparks’ historical architecture.
