Neoklasika was entrusted with creating an interior design concept for an exclusive boutique aparthotel located within Riga's Old Town.
This historic 1930s building is situated amidst an area that once embodied Riga's legendary Bohemian scene during the 1920s and 1930s.
The meeting places favoured by artists and musicians included the cafe Sukubs, restaurants Oto Švarcs, Roma and Esplanāde. In the 1920s and 1930s, cinemas, including Forums and Maska (two thrillers in one evening), became popular entertainment venues along with the nearby Splendid Palace and Astorija.
Blending Timelessness and Contemporary Elegance
The design identity of this opulent aparthotel pays homage to the architectural heritage of the building and draws inspiration from the cultural luminaries born in Latvia.
Our meticulous attention to detail has resulted in a captivating environment that evokes emotional pleasure and moments of wonder while maintaining a connection to the area's rich historical legacy.
A Bespoke Artistic Experience
Upon entering the first-floor lobby and breakfast room/lounge bar, guests are greeted by an artistically inspired atmosphere reminiscent of a living canvas.
This vibrant space inspires and sparks creative conversations in a delightfully engaging ambience. Each apartment within the aparthotel is individually tailored and dedicated to renowned Latvian artists such as Gustavs Klucis, Jāzeps Grosvalds, Aleksandra Beļcova, and Kārlis Padegs, among others.
Sophisticated Fusion of Design and Art
In our pursuit of design, we have curated furniture, lighting, and accessories to reflect the design styles prevalent during the first half of the 20th century.
The apartments boast unique, personalized touches through reproductions of art pieces, historical photographs, and captivating murals that celebrate the creative genius of the artists they represent.
