This building, which is home to an apartment spanning over one hundred square meters, was built during the first decade of the 20th century. Therefore, in creating the interior concept, it was necessary to generate harmony in the presence of the aura of Art Nouveau. The link to architectural details has been carried over to the choice of finishing materials and elements used in cornices, in the design of custom-made doors and in the intricate sculptural textures of the decorative wall paintwork done by artists. One of the keys to the uniqueness of the apartment interior is the gold and silver shade decorating paintwork.
These create a mysterious artistic aura, which is enhanced by the masterly designed lighting layout that highlight the wall and the forms and textures of the elegant furniture. In each area at least three lighting modes making it possible to create individual atmospheric combinations. The image of the apartment is tailored to a personality who has high appreciation of design and art objects and the desire to be surrounded by an environment where there is a confluence of the boundary between space and art.
Paintings by Latvian artists that create symbiosis with furniture and lighting fixtures with references to the Art Deco style beloved by the apartment’s owner. The finishing is dominated by combinations of varnished leather, exotic wood, fur and metallic textures. For example, the ‘’Eve’’ dresser is made from ebony wood complemented by fine metal fittings and decors. Among the highlights of the interior is the Andre Dubreuil ‘’Spine’’ chair made with a curved metal technique.
